There is a problem with dpkg-source enforcing the directory scheme
adduser-version
for *native* debian packages. With that scheme you have to rename the
sourcedirectory for each new version you generate!
I missed that on adduser. Sorry.
I would like to have dpkg-source changed so that it tolerates any
directory name for *native* packages.
debmake used the directory
debmake
and I just simply do use the "-version" suffix on the sourcepackage and
ignore the warnings I get when generating a package.
